Raymond R. Malette Jr, 87, of Merrimack passed away at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. on Monday January 4, 2021. He was born in Nashua, NH son of the late Raymond and Mary Malette. Ray worked as an engineer for Sanders, Lockeed and retired from BAE. Ray was a charter member and past Commander of the Merrimack VFW Post 8641, American Legion Post 98 and in his free time he loved playing Cribbage, making and painting ceramics figures and doing craft fairs with his wife and daughter Brenda. Ray was also a long-time seasonal camper at Keyser Pond Campground, spent a lot of his time fishing with his long-time fishing buddy Lucien. But most of all, Ray (Sonny) spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Ray will be missed and never forgotten by his son David Malette and his wife Carli of Plaistow, NH, sister Victoria Torres and her husband Hector of Summerville, SC, Grandchildren Michele, Lance, Carissa, Bruce, Scott, Chris and 4 great grandchildren. Besides his wife Nancy, Ray is also predeceased by three children Mary Bernard, Steven Malette, Brenda Malette and two sisters Connie Decheneau and Gloria Chess. Several nieces and nephews.
